How much does it cost to hire your Gelato van?

Every event is unique, so our pricing is tailored to suit your specific requirements. Factors we consider include guest numbers, event location, service duration, day of the week and the type of event you are planning.

For private celebrations, weddings and corporate events, we offer customised packages that include our vintage gelato van, award-winning artisan gelato and sorbet, professional service staff and everything required to create a memorable experience for your guests.

For larger public events, festivals, markets and community celebrations where there is strong expected attendance and we are serving the general public, we can often operate under a different arrangement where there may be no hire fee, with guests purchasing gelato directly on the day.

Is there a minimum number of guests required to hire your van?

We don't have a minimum number of guests required to hire Gelato à Go-Go. However, our bookings do operate on a minimum spend basis to ensure we can provide the level of service and experience our customers expect.

How far do you travel?

Gelato à Go-Go is based in Brisbane and most of our events are usually within approximately 50km of the Brisbane CBD.

Due to the age and character of our beautifully restored vintage Citroën H Van, we carefully consider longer-distance travel to ensure we can continue providing a reliable and professional service.

We do occasionally travel to events on the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas, so please get in touch and we'll see how we can help.

Do you require a deposit to secure a booking?

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your date. The remaining balance is payable within 7 days following your event.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept a range of convenient payment options, including:

Can you customise or brand the van for corporate events?

Absolutely. Gelato à Go-Go offers a range of branding opportunities for corporate events, marketing activations and promotional campaigns. Options include customised:

  • Van signage

  • Menu boards

  • Gelato cups

  • Event materials

We can also discuss branded uniforms and other ways to incorporate your company into the experience.

Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes. Gelato à Go-Go is fully insured with $20 million public liability insurance, providing peace of mind for event organisers, venues and corporate clients.

Are you council licensed and food safety accredited?

Yes. We are a fully licensed Brisbane City Council Mobile Food Business and our licence allows us to operate throughout South East Queensland.

We are also Brisbane Eat Safe accredited, ensuring our food handling practices meet strict health and safety requirements.

A copy of our licences and insurance documents can be provided upon request.

Are there any restrictions on where the van can park and serve?

In most cases, we require a suitable location on privately owned land with permission from the property owner or venue.

Depending on the location, we may be able to operate from a roadside location where it is safe and permitted to do so. We recommend discussing your preferred location with us before booking so we can confirm suitability.

Can Gelato à Go-Go operate indoors?

Yes. Our unique vintage Citroën H Van is equipped to operate using mains power or our onboard battery system, allowing us to serve quietly without the need for a noisy petrol generator.

This makes us suitable for both indoor and outdoor venues.

What makes Gelato à Go-Go different from a traditional ice cream van?
