  • How much does it cost to hire your van?
    Our hire charge depends on a few different factors. Some of these include the number of guests being catered for, the location of the event, time on site and which day of the week your event is scheduled for. If you’re thinking of having Gelato à Go-Go at your next event, please fill in our contact form with as much detail as possible and we’ll be able to give you the most accurate quote.

  • Do we need a minimum number of guests to hire your van?
    No, we don’t have minimum numbers to hire our van, but we do operate on a minimum spend basis. Please contact us for details.

  • What type of events do you cater for?
    We cater for all types of events, weddings, corporate, marketing activations, parties and other major events & festivals. We are happy to discuss any requirements you may have.

  • How far do you travel?

    We are based in Brisbane and generally most of our clients are within 50kms of the Brisbane CBD. Due to the age of our little old van we mostly limit our travel distance to this area. However we do on occasion travel for events on the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas so please get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.

  • Do you require a deposit for a booking?
    We require a 50% deposit at the time of booking, with the balance payable within 7 days after the event.

  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    We accept cash, Apple Pay and all major credit / debit cards that use Visa, Mastercard, American Express and EFTPOS.

  • Can your van be branded for corporate events?
    Absolutely, we have various options to brand the van, menu, cups and cones. Contact us to discuss your unique requirements.

  • Do you have public liability insurance?
    Of course, we are fully insured and our public liability insurance is for up to $20m.

  • Do you have a Council licence?
    Yes. We have a Brisbane City Council Mobile Food Business Licence and we can provide you with a copy of this if required. Our BCC Mobile Food business licence also enables us to trade in any other council area of South East Queensland. Additionally we are also Brisbane Eat Safe accredited.

  • Are there any restrictions on where you can park the van and serve for private events?

    In most cases, the area where we park must be on privately owned land and have permission from the land owner to park there. Depending on the location, we can sometimes park and serve on the roadside as long as it’s safe to do so, but please check with us first.




  • Do you offer Gluten Free Options?
    Yes, most of our gelato flavours are gluten free. Flavours that do contain gluten are labelled on our menu on board the van.

  • Do you offer Dairy Free / Vegan Options?
    All our sorbet options are gluten & dairy free and also vegan friendly. When we are attending public events we always stock at least one sorbet flavour onboard.

  • Why can’t we see your Gelato and Sorbet?
    Our Gelato and Sorbet is stored the traditional Italian way in a Pozzetti cabinet. This system has many advantages over glass display Gelato cabinets.

  • How many servings can you do for us?
    We have the capacity to store enough Gelato and Sorbet for up to 1000 servings.

  • Can we request our own flavours if we hire you for a private event?
    Absolutely. We are happy to work with you to create a custom menu for your event from the range of our Gelato and Sorbet, however it will require some notice and some flavours do have a minimum order requirement.

  • Are your cups & spoons biodegradable?
    You bet, all of our cups and spoons are fully biodegradable items.
